BNR2 hangs at startup

[Bronski]

When I start BNR2 the splash screen is shown and "scanning database"
then it seams to hang. I have left it for about half an hour to see
if it would start eventualy.

I have also tried launching it from the command promt with -debug but
the same thing happens.

Am I going to have to re-install or is there something else I can try?

Try going to program files/ BNR / look for message file and delete it.

Try going to program files/ BNR / look for message file and delete it.

I think I have solved it. I am using Vista, changed BNR to run as an
Administrator and, fingers crossed, that seams to have fixed it.
