Hi all,

I gave been using BNR in it's various forms since BNR 1, I
currently use BNR2 but only for NZB file retrieval with Win 2K and
Win XP and it's reliable 95% of the time. I have used BNR3 before I
discover newzbin files ..

However I can see the writing on the wall for PCs with Win XP on
them si I have loaded up Win 7 RC 7100 and and have started testing
variouse software that I use.

BNR2. Copied directory from XP PC , Starts up OK but when I load
up a NZB file the file list in the DATA colum say "Invalide and I
can't see a file list but they are there and it downloads OK.
If I go to install BNR2 with the installer Win 7 says the installer
is invalid and won't install.

BNR3 . Copied from XP PX , runs up ok and can see a list of files
when I import a NZB file however when I create a server some will
retrieve news group list and some give an error message..

Guess I'll have to keep a XP partition or run as a
virtual partition within Win 7 as BNR is still the best NZB
retriever that I have seen.

Many thanx to those all those years ago who created this product..

Thanx Raymond.

I did find that the installer was faulty and downloaded a new one and
that installed fine. Setup again and had a few hassles initially
but currently working OK. The only issue I seem to have is when I
load a new NZB file the servers will not auto connect unless I
manually connect them even though "Connect On Demand" is ticked and
server access are set to 2. Will work thru this .. Better pull out
the old manual again..

I've given up on BNR3.

Good new that BNR2 will work on Win 7

Wasn't able to find out why the server wouldn't auto connect but I
did find out why my BNR2 copied directory would not work
properly. It was "ahem" my fault. I modified the BNR.INI file
incorrectly. I copied the directory across from the other PC again
and ran it up and changed the settings from within the program and
now 100% the same as on the Win XP machine. So now I'm happy for my
next PC to be Win7. Now if only they would put back the "Cut, Copy
and Paste" icons back into the file manager as it was in WinXP..
